Baby Nelsen
I found the cutest fabrics in pinks and purples and decided to make a baby girl quilt with them. So many friends were/are pregnant that I just knew one of them would have a little girl I could give it to. Shandra and Severin had little Ella Hiver in January and I knew I just had to give her the quilt. I was so excited to give it to them that I forgot to take pictures of just the quilt. Enjoy the little one resting on it instead.
Ella Hiver (Pronounced ee-vair). She's the cutest. |

BFF Quilt
My BFF Jacqueline Taylor turned 28 last month and I know how much she
secretly loves my quilts so I decided to make her one. When I finished I
was not happy to give this one to her though because it is the BEST one
I've made yet. Oh well, that's what BFFs do. Give over nice stuff
they really don't want to in order to save the friendship. Happy
Birthday Jacqui! Even though we rarely hug I hope you think of this as a
little BFF hug each time you cuddle up with it. And remember its a
GIRLS quilt; don't let your new fiance touch it.
I love this town's scenery. It really complements my work. :) |
Shout out to WPYR. Thanks for giving Jacqui an 8 month job so I get more time to hang out with her each year! |
She likes it. |

Too Much!
My grandma has a saying that is fun to tease but is also very useful. She likes to say "Too Much!" in regards to just about everything; frosting on cinnamon rolls, the size of houses these days, how much gas costs, etc. I've decided that I have "Too Much!" of my quilt pictures for facebook and have decided to transfer sharing my crafting over to this brand new blog.
I've decided to name this blog Little AK after where I learned to quilt and where I still live. The name makes me think of how homey and small my town is in contrast to how big Alaska is.
Hope you all enjoy opening a new window or tab to see what I'll be creating.
